Providence Wildlife Rehabilitation

A couple of weeks ago Tammie, her Dad and Misty left on a road trip to Kentucky for a couple of days. Before they got out of town, they encountered a Canada goose that had been hit by a car and left by the side of the road for dead. A couple of phone calls later, they got in touch with someone from Providence Wildlife Rehabilitation. From their website, this organization primarily serves waterfowl in the Indianapolis area, and provides emergency care to raising young chicks that have been left motherless for whatever reason.

They came out and took the wounded goose, and although it ultimately didn’t survive, I’m sure it was treated humanely before being put down. A much better fate than being left by the side of the road to die. Check them out. Like any non-profit organization, they need donations and volunteers.
