It’s been a while since I posted a colorful photo. All this mucking about I’ve been doing sorting out false color post-processing with IR images using LAB has left me starved for some brilliant color photography. Today’s shot (actually last night’s) was taken in the infield at the Indiana State Fair. Each year they kick off the beginning of the fair with a hot air balloon race at dawn. The night before (i.e. last night) they have a night glow, where many of the hot air balloons inflate and light up at sunset.
Only about 8 or 9 balloons were present for the night glow, although 27 took part in the race this morning. I couldn’t drag myself out of bed early enough to catch the beginning of the race at 7 a.m. this morning, but I got some good shots last night at the night glow.
